Join Our Inaugural Nursing Team! Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a pivotal role in a brand-new medical practice?
DermaCare and Family Health at Shellharbour is delighted to announce its opening in Warilla NSW , and we are searching for a dedicated Practice Nurse to be a foundational member of our clinical team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting GPs with clinical procedures (e.g., wound care, minor surgeries, skin biopsies, assisting with skin excisions, IUD/Implanon insertions and removals , immunisations).
- Administering vaccinations and injections.
- Performing health assessments (e.g., chronic disease management, 45-49 year old health checks, heart health assessment).
- Managing recall and reminder systems for patient follow-ups.
- Assisting with cold chain management and stock control of medical supplies.
- Triaging patients and providing basic health education and advice.
- Maintaining sterile environments and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Assisting with practice accreditation requirements and quality improvement activities.
What We Are Looking For:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience as a Practice Nurse in a general practice setting (highly regarded).
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge across a broad range of general practice areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient-centred approach with a focus on preventative health.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Immunisation endorsement (highly desirable).
- Remuneration (Effective from 1 July 2025): Competitive rates based on the Nurses Award [MA000034].
- Full-time/Part-time: Starting from $30.64 per hour (Registered nurse – level 1, pay point 1), with opportunities for progression based on experience and classification.
- Penalty rates apply for eligible shiftwork, weekends, and public holidays.
- Allowances may apply as per the Nurses Award, including for laundry, meals, on-call, and uniform.
